We are not hiring at speed. We are hiring rarely, and only when the work to be done is something one person can carry end-to-end. If that sounds like the kind of company you want to spend a few years inside, please read on.
You scope your own work. You decide what is in and out. You write the spec, ship the surface, and own the regression. We help; we do not assign.
You think in terms of systems that compound, surfaces that earn their place, and language that does not drift. You can hold the difference between memory and recommendation in your head while writing code.
You are comfortable shipping less. You can argue against a feature you yourself proposed once you see it on the screen. You would rather a surface stay honest than ship at velocity.
You care how the line wraps, where the divider sits, what colour the verdict is. Every Sensiq surface ships with that level of care, and we expect it of every line you write.
We are remote-first across the UK and Europe. Most of the work is asynchronous; meetings exist when a decision needs more than one head, never to fill a calendar. Specs are written before code; surfaces are reviewed for language before they ship. The product cadence is two-weekly, not daily.
We pay competitively for the level we hire at, offer meaningful equity, and do not pretend to have perks beyond the work and the people you do it with. The honest tradeoff is fewer features at higher quality, on a smaller team than the comparable startup.
That is true today and may be true a few months from now. When a role opens, it will be one role at a time, posted here, with the actual work scoped honestly.
If the description above sounds like you and you want to be on a list we re-read when an opening matches, write to us. Include the two or three things you have shipped that you are most proud of — we read every note.
